TATTOO 3 is a documentary created during the Third Annual New York City Tattoo Convention, spring 2000 in the Roseland Ballroom, NYC. Individuals were asked their reasons for “collecting tattoos and the personal meanings they ascribe to these body ornamentations. The video has been constructed in such a way that individuals tell their collection of surprising, humorous and earnest stories that reveal a fascinating range of intentions that underlie this popular phenomenon. own stories without using additional narration. The piece is constructed of digital video segments, augmented by still photographs used in the introduction. All footage and imagery was shot by Thomas Porett and was edited on a Macintosh G3 computer using Final Cut Pro software.
